My own journey started back in 2005, when my uncle was hit by a car while riding his bike — something he did almost every day. The doctors told us that his good health is what saved his life. That moment shifted something in me. I started moving more, paying closer attention to my body, and wondering what it really means to take care of yourself.
In 2010, I was diagnosed with depression and began medication. But deep down, I knew I didn’t want to rely on it forever. That’s when I started learning how movement, food, and mindset could support not just my body — but my mental health, too.
Then in 2019, I suffered a meniscus tear and a stress fracture. That injury forced me to slow down and learn more about healing, inflammation, and how food truly affects our energy and recovery. It was frustrating, but also empowering — because it taught me how to listen to my body in a new way.
I bring all of that lived experience — along with my background in education and wellness — into the work I do now. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s in Educational Psychology, both from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I’m also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Fitness Nutrition Specialist through the American Council on Exercise.
But what matters most is this:
I’m not here to push you. I’m here to partner with you.
Whether you’re just starting out, returning after a setback, or looking to feel more like yourself again — I’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll take it one step at a time.
Because wellness isn’t about perfection.
It’s about building a life that supports the real you.
This video shares a little about what has inspired me to become a wellness educator.
